WATCH | The Notorious B.I.G ‘s “One More Chance”music video gets remastered in HD

Christopher Wallace , the late hip hop legend better known as The Notorious B.I.G. would have recently celebrated his 50th birthday May 21, 2022, and what a celebration it turned out to be with The City Of New York rallying behind the artist to pay respect to the hip hop icon. To add to the festivities a new song by the rapper dropped, titled G.O.A.T featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Bella Alubo in memory of Biggie Smalls. Just when you thought that was it, Biggie’s music video directed by Hype Williams “One More Chance” Remix got remastered in HD, for a crisper and enhanced visual.

The song originally released in the summer of 1995 sampling Debarge’s track Stay With Me (1983) is completeley different to the one on his “Ready To Die” album of 1994. One More Chance (Remix)” debuted at #5 on the chart and eventually peaked at #2, making it The Notorious B.I.G. most successful song at the time of being alive. Check out the video below…

For those unfamiliar, did you know that the Debarge sample was first used by late Harlem Rapper Big L on his song MVP released 1994, which inspired The Notorious BIG to use the sample as mentioned by hip hop producer Lord Finesse, a member of the DITC crew.

Big L was the first in the group to catch a break when his Lifestylez ov da Poor and Dangerous single “M.V.P.” started gaining traction in New York. But a few months later, the Notorious B.I.G. released a “One More Chance” remix with the same DeBarge sample…” Mase (Pitchfork Interview)
