Life After Death 25th Anniversary Box Set

This year marks what would have been The Notorious B.I.G.’s 50th birthday, and to honour his legacy the Estate of Christopher Wallace, Bad Boy Records, Rhino, and Atlantic launched “The Sky’s the Limit: A Year Celebrating the Legacy of the Notorious B.I.G.” campaign . Starting March 25, fans were given the opportunity to see various Biggie-honouring homages, ranging from street block parties, 4k upgrades to his music videos and having a special lights tribute by the Empire State Building to celebrate the “King of New York”.

As all the festivities and events continue to take place around New York, “Life After Death” Notorious B.I.G. posthumous album celebrates 25 years since its release in 1997. To commemorate the album, a special 25th Anniversary Super Deluxe Box Set will drop June 10, designed as an 8-LP   featuring rare photos from the cover shoot and liner notes from music writer and editor Sheldon Pearce, along with contributions by people involved with the album, to be sold at $179.98.

The Notorious B.I.G. Hypnotize (4K Remaster)

To add to the festivities, a FREE orchestral tribute will take place at New York’s Lincoln Center, June 10 at 7:30pm, conducted by multi-instrumentalist and composer Miguel Atwood Ferguson, the same individual involved in J.Dilla’s orchestral tribute.  The orchestral tribute will feature appearances by The Originals, Clark Kent, Stretch and Bobbito, Rich Medina and Tony Touch who will be adding their music curation to compliment the evening. If you are not able to attend the event will be available to streamed LIVE on Twitch in collaboration with Amazon Music.
